The call for entries is now open! WonderCon presented the 2nd Annual San Francisco Bay Area International Children's Film Festival, Feb. 22-March 1, 2008. It was a great time! During the two-weekend run of the festival, we screened more than 100 short films from around the world for children and teens - animation, live action and documentary - clustered for different age groups. The festival kicked off the weekend of Feb. 22-24 at WonderCon at the Moscone Center South. WonderCon is Northern California's largest comic-book and popular culture convention, produced by the makers of Comic-Con International in San Diego. Admission to the children's film festival was free with admission to WonderCon. Go to www.wondercon.org for more details on WonderCon, including advance and same-day membership. Children ages 11 and under are always free to WonderCon with at least one paid adult membership. The festival continued March 1 at Zeum, the popular children's art and technology museum in downtown San Francisco, adjacent to the Moscone Center. We screened short films from around the world made for children. Admission to the film screenings was free with paid admission to Zeum.
